臺灣經歷了兩個多月的三級警戒，大家都悶壞了吧？隨著本土疫情趨緩，政府終於調降疫情警戒標準至第二級，許多活動限制開始鬆綁，雖然如此，Funday小編還是提醒大家仍要勤洗手、戴口罩、保持社交距離，也別忘記來學學要怎麼用英文說這些疫情下常提到的字彙。

• cluster：名詞，串、束、群。a cluster of fans（一群粉絲）；a cluster of grapes（一串葡萄）。由於cluster指的是同類物聚集在一起，所以有「群聚」的意思。
• A cluster of people waited to buy face masks.

（一群人排隊要買口罩。）

• gathering：名詞，聚集、集會。另一個可以表達群聚的單字是gathering，動詞是gather，使聚集、採集的意思，衍生出來的兩個詞彙是indoor gathering（室內群聚）和outdoor gathering（戶外群聚）。
• The Central Epidemic Command Center decided to ease the limits on indoor gathering to fewer than 50 people, and outdoor gathering to under 100.

（中央疫情指揮中心決定鬆綁室內群聚人數限制到50人以內，戶外群聚人數限制在100人以內。）

• cluster infection：群聚感染。infection是名詞，感染、傳染，動詞是infect。
• 29 domestic COVID-19 cases were confirmed today, and 23 of them were linked to cluster infections.

（今天有29例本土 COVID-19 確診案例，其中23例與群聚感染有關。）

• social distancing：社交距離。social是形容詞，社交的，distancing是由動詞distance（使疏遠）轉變為動名詞來的。social distance前面通常會用keep/maintain（保持）、practice（實施）、observe（遵守）等動詞。
• The government urged the public to keep social distancing and avoid crowded places.

（政府力勸大眾保持社交距離，避免去擁擠的地方。）

• ban large gathering：禁止大型聚會。ban是動詞，禁止，尤其是指官方或法律禁止某項事物。
• The Taiwan Railways Administration banned large gatherings in all its stations.

（臺鐵禁止所有車站進行大型聚會。）

• infection control breach：疫情破口。breach是名詞，有裂痕、缺口的意思。
• Maintaining good personal hygiene and social distancing can keep you from being the infection control breach.

（保持良好的個人衛生和社交距離可防止你成為疫情破口。）
