每個人都希望別人可以認真傾聽自己說的話並得到正面回覆。在歐美文化中，更是非常強調尊重他人意見的概念。因此，學習如何用英文禮貌地回覆別人的意見，是非常重要的。

以下，就讓我們用幾種例句，來學習如何當個「有禮又有力」(polite and assertive) 的人吧！

 

當我們想表達同意別人的意見時，可以說：

 

🗣（語氣由弱到強同意→非常同意）

　　I agree with you to some degree./ I agree with you on some level. 我某種程度上同意你。

　　I agree. / Agreed. 我同意。

　　Me too. I thought so as well. 我也這麼認為。（較不正式）

　　So do I. That applies to me as well. 我們想法一致。（較為正式）

　　Absolutely. 沒錯！（表示很贊同對方意見），或是　Definitely. 沒錯！

　（表示完全贊同對方意見且毫無疑問）

　　You can say that again. 我深感贊同。

　　My thoughts exactly. 跟我想得完全一樣。

　　I couldn’t agree (with you) more. 我完完全全認同你！

    Tom: Hey, Did you enjoy the movie Parasite? I found it absolutely fantastic!

   （湯姆：嘿！你喜歡那部最新的電影，寄生上流嗎？我覺得超棒的！）

  Joey: Yeah. Definitely. I really enjoyed the elaborate scenes they set up in the movie.

  （喬伊：嗯。我也覺得！我很喜歡他們電影裡精心策畫的場景。）

    Bob: Did you know that our new colleague handled the tricky case single-handedly?

　　　　That is really impressive!

  （鮑勃：你知道我們的新同事獨立處理好那個棘手的案子嗎？真的很厲害！）

   Zodec: I could not agree more. He’s something else!

  （索迪克：我完全同意。他真的很厲害！）

🗣若我們不同意時，也有很聰明的說法可以回應哦！我們可以說：

 

（禮貌→最禮貌）

　I take your point, but...（表達了解、尊重對方的意見，但持有不同見解。）

　I see where you are coming from, but...（和上述相似，表達理解及尊重對方的意見，但擁有不同看法。）

　I appreciate why you think that, but...（用以表達你尊重、理解對方的意思，但你不同意他的說法。）

　I hear what you are saying, but...（更加禮貌的用法。和上述相似，但是因為加上"hear" 能讓對方知道你真聽進去了，並且從他們的觀點來看待這件事情。）

    Jason: We are supposed to stick to our plan as scheduled.

  （傑森：我們應該遵守我們原本的計畫）

   Jack: I see where you are coming from, but I don’t really think it’s possible to let off fireworks on such a rainy day.

  （傑克：我了解你的意思，但我真的不覺得我們可以在這樣的大雨中放煙火。）

 

✏️例句：

    Eason: We ought to install more servers in response to the ever-increasing needs now.

  （亦森：我們應該立即安裝更多伺服器以因應不斷增加的需求。）

   Peter: I take your point, but I don’t think we have enough budget for that.

  （彼特：這是個很好的意見，但我不認為我們有足夠的預算。）
