✏️ Tips：空格前後為兩個子句，兩者為轉折關係，根據語意，(3) 項為正選。如果選項的語意接近，就得看詞性才能選出答案。
📍 ________ it was Sunday, the surgeon performed an operation on the patient.
1️⃣ During 2️⃣ Although 3️⃣ Even 4️⃣ On
✏️ Tips：空格為有主詞和動詞的子句（it was Sunday），而其後則是另一個子句（the surgeon performed an operation on the patient），由此可知空格內應置連接詞，四個選項中為連接詞的只有 (2) 項 Although（雖然）。
✏️ Tips：值得注意的是(3) 項 Even（即使）不是連接詞，後面不能接子句，但如果後面出現副詞，那就可以使用 Even：
例句： Even on Sundays, the surgeon performs operations on whoever is in a serious condition. → On Sundays（在星期天）是介詞引導的片語，功能如同副詞，可用 Even 修飾。
除了 even 和 although，however 和 but 也是語意接近，詞性不同，在題目中容易成為陷阱。
📍 It was Sunday, however/but the surgeon performed an operation on the patient.
✏️ Tips：這裡只能選 but，不能選 however（然而），儘管兩者都可以表達轉折的語意。這是因為 but 是連接詞，可以連接兩個子句，而 however 是副詞，不能連接子句。如果兩個子句用分號或句點隔開，則可以用 however。
例句：It was Sunday; however, the surgeon performed an operation on the patient. → 這裡的兩個子句用分號隔開，文法上是兩個獨立的子句，因此可用副詞 however。
