【訂金英文】訂金和押金的英文相關用法，分析兩者之間的差異
還記得Johnny老師去夏威夷威基基海灘時有租衝浪板去衝浪，要租之前需要先付押金，今天我們就來學『押金』和『訂金』的英文，我們今天來分析這兩個字的差別，但是在英文中卻是使用同一個字喔！
1.訂金
an amount of money that you pay as the first part of the total payment for something
你為某事支付的總金額的第一部分
The store clerk says if I leave $20 as a deposit, she’ll keep the dress for me.
店員說如果我留下十美金的訂金，她就會為我留著那條裙子。
We paid a deposit of ￡8,000 on the villa, and paid the balance two weeks later.
我們交了8千英鎊的別墅訂金，並在兩週後付清餘額。
They asked us to put down a deposit.
他們要求我們支付一筆訂金。
2.押金
an amount of money that you pay when you rent something, and is returned to you when you return the thing you have rented
當你租東西時支付的一筆錢，當你歸還租來的東西時退還給你
It costs $2,000 a week to rent the yacht, with a $200 refundable/returnable deposit.
遊艇的租金為每星期2000英鎊，外加200英鎊的可退還押金。
You pay a 10p deposit / a deposit of 10p on the bottle, which you get back when you return the empty bottle.
瓶子收取十便士押金，空瓶送回後可退還押金。

Customer:Hi, I’m interested in booking a room for next month. What’s the process?
