夏天到了我們都喜歡來杯冰涼的冷飲消暑，這種感覺就是一種極樂（sheer / unadulterated bliss）：
Drinking a cool and refreshing beverage is pure bliss on a hot summer day!
在炎熱的夏天，喝一口清涼爽口的飲料是一種純粹的幸福！
In the summer, indulging in a cool refreshing drink is unadulterated bliss.
在夏天，沉醉在一杯清涼爽口的飲料中是一種純淨的喜悅。
*adulterate /əˈdʌltəreɪt/ vt. （在飲食中）摻雜，摻假
*unadulterated /ˌʌnəˈdʌltəreɪtɪd/ a. 完全的；十足的；不折不扣的
今天我們就來學有關『飲料』的兩個單字，drink 和 beverage：
- drink
動詞：
喝：He likes to drink coffee in the morning.（他喜歡早上喝咖啡。）
享用酒精飲料：Let’s go out and drink tonight.（讓我們今晚出去喝酒吧。）
名詞：
飲料：I ordered a cold drink at the café.（我在咖啡館點了一杯冷飲。）
酒：He had too much to drink at the party last night.（昨晚派對上他喝得太多了。）
- beverage
'beverage' 主要用於正式場合或書面語，並不常見於口語中。在口語中，人們更傾向於使用 'drink' 這個詞來表示 '飲料'。
I always enjoy trying different types of beverages when I travel.
我總是喜歡在旅行時嘗試不同類型的飲料。
Coffee is a popular beverage around the world.
咖啡是世界各地流行的飲品。
In many cultures, tea is considered a traditional beverage.
在許多文化中，茶被認為是一種傳統飲料。
I prefer to have a cold beverage with my meals.
我喜歡在用餐時喝冷飲。
During the meeting, we were offered a variety of beverages, including water, juice, and soda.
在會議期間，我們被提供了各種飲料，包括水、果汁和汽水。
最後我們來學一個海王電影第一集當中的一個慣用語，電影中提到海王父親的酒量很好（He has a high tolerance for alcohol），時常能把海王喝掛，這時喝掛的英文可以用道地慣用語：
drink sb under the table
She’s known for her ability to drink anyone under the table at parties.
在派對上，她以把別人喝趴下的能力而聞名。
