“That’s why I don’t believe in positive energy,” says Zoo of Depression. Yet it is precisely this refusal to whip out the rose-tinted glasses that draws the illustrator’s 170,000 social media followers to her fan page. Talking about herself being world-weary with a bit of philosophical taste, Zoo of Depression said that the twists and turns in her life made her start questioning: “Who am I?”

After graduating from college and working at several jobs, she became acutely aware of how unfair society is.
