The first solo exhibition of work by renowned Japanese artist Yoshitomo Nara has been held at the Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts, featuring his painting of “Miss Moonlight” and “Hazy Humid Day,” a new work which Nara had created especially for Taiwan.

The opportunity of holding Nara’s exhibition can be traced back to April 2020, when he expressed thanks on his Twitter for Taiwan’s donation of face masks and President Tsai replied to the post, according to Hiroyasu Izumi, Chief Representative of the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association’s Taipei Office.
