Jason has a golden retriever named Cooper. He is talking to his friend Chloe, who owns a cat named Miso.

Jason: Ugh, I’m exhausted. Cooper kept me up all night. He wouldn’t stop scratching and thumping his leg against the floor.

Chloe: Oh no, poor guy! Is it his allergies again? Taipei’s air can be pretty rough on dogs.

Jason: I thought so, but then I saw a tiny black speck jump off his ear. I think the “flea season” has officially started with this warm weather.

Chloe: Yikes. Yeah, I just read a report from the New Taipei City Animal Protection Office. They said since it’s getting warmer and more humid, the parasites are basically throwing a party in the grass.
克羅伊：哎呀。對耶，我剛看到新北市動保處的新聞。他們說因為天氣變暖、變濕，寄生蟲根本是在草叢裡開派對。

Jason: Tell me about it. We were just at the park near Guting yesterday. He must have picked them up in the bushes.

Chloe: You need to be careful. My Miso stays indoors, but I still treat her every month. My vet told me we can actually carry flea eggs into the house on our own shoes or clothes!
克羅伊：你真的要小心。雖然我家「味噌」待在室內，但我每個月還是會幫她點藥。獸醫跟我說，我們其實會把跳蚤卵透過鞋子或衣服帶進家門！

克羅伊：差不多。你應該用熱水洗庫柏的睡墊，然後用吸塵器到處吸一吸。還有，去獸醫那拿一些滴劑。那比只用除蚤洗毛精有效多了。
