The US government has officially approved the sale of 66 F-16 fighters to Taiwan.

Yet the arms sale has angered Beijing. China’s foreign ministry spokesperson, Hua Chun-ying, said the United States should stop arms sales to Taiwan or else China will “surely have strong reactions, and the US will have to bear all the consequences.”
