Miles and Kami are friends. They are talking about Mayday’s concerts in Hualien in early November.
Miles: Ugh, why does the weather always mess with my plans?
mess with打擾、干擾mess around胡鬧
Kami: What’s going on? What plans?
Miles: I was supposed to see Mayday on Nov. 3 in Hualien, but there was a typhoon, so they put it off.
be supposed to…
Kami: Oh no, that’s too bad! Did they say when it’ll be rescheduled?
reschedule(v.)改期
Miles: Not yet. They said they’d update us once they pick a new date.
update(v.)更新once(conj.)一旦date(n.)
Kami: Maybe that’s for the best. A concert during a typhoon sounds dangerous.
dangerous(adj.)危險的
Miles: Yeah, I get it. But I was really looking forward to it.
look forward to期待
Kami: I get it. But hey, at least it’s not canceled! You’ll still get to see them later.
cancel(v.)取消
Miles: True. Thanks, Kami. I feel a bit better now.
