A report published by the United Daily News on August 25 says that the president would change the lineup of the Cabinet in September.

The report suggests that Taoyuan Mayor Cheng Wen-tsan would replace Su Tseng-chang as premier, and several city mayors and county chiefs from Tsai’s Democratic Progressive Party would leave their posts and serve in the Cabinet next month.
報導指出，桃園市長鄭文燦將取代蘇貞昌為行政院長，數位民進黨籍的縣市長也將於下個月離開崗位，加入內閣。

“I want to make it clear that the Cabinet will not be reshuffled,” said Tsai. She added that under Premier Su’s leadership, his administrative team has successfully brought the Covid-19 pandemic under control and sustained the country’s economic momentum. “We still have many challenges to overcome,” said the president.
