Jane is considering how much money to invest in the foreign exchange market. She is discussing with Jack.

Jack: If you’re not making big bucks, then I’d keep it to a minimum for now.

Jane: Would it be reasonable to purchase 500 worth of a currency?
珍：買500基礎貨幣合不合理呢？

Jack: That’s not an option.
傑克：這行不通的。

Jane: Why not?
珍：為什麽？
Jack: In the forex, currencies trade in “lots.”
傑克：在外匯市場中，貨幣是用「手數」為單位交易的。
Jane: What does that mean?
珍：那是什麽意思？
Jack: Well, there are three kinds of lots--micro, mini, and standard lots.
傑克：總共有三種手數：微型、迷你、和標準手。

Jane: So…?
珍：所以……？
Jack: A micro lot is 1,000 worth of a currency, a mini lot is 10,000, and a standard lot is 100,000.
傑克：1微型手是1,000基礎貨幣、1迷你手是10,000基礎貨幣、1標準手等於100,000基礎貨幣。
Jane: I see.
珍：我明白了。
I see.= I get it. 我明白了。
Jack: You can only trade currency in lots, but there is no limit to how many lots you can trade.
傑克：你只能用手數交易外匯，可是你要交易多少手數是沒有限制的。
