The Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics organizers have launched their ambitious Robot Project. Unlike other national sporting events relying on human volunteers to help out, the Tokyo 2020 Olympics will have robots to assist supporters, workers and athletes at the games.
2020東京奧運與殘障奧運推出企圖心十足的「2020東奧機器人計畫」，不像以往的國際運動賽事需要仰賴志工協助，在2020東京奧運中將有機器人來協助比賽中的肢體不方便的工作人員及選手。

There will be two kinds of robots at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics: Toyota’s Human Support Robot (HSR) and the Power Assist Suit from Panasonic.
東奧將使用兩種機器人：豐田（Toyota）的人力支援機器人（HSR）、松下電器（Panasonic）的Power Assist Suit。
The HSR will assist wheelchair users at the Olympics. Their tasks include carrying food and drink, guiding spectators to their seats and providing event information.
HSR機器人將會在東奧中協助坐輪椅者，他們的任務為拿取食物及飲料、引導觀眾入席並提供資訊。

The Panasonic Power Assist Suit, a battery-powered exoskeleton, will be assisting with picking up heavy objects during the event.
而松下電器的Power Assist Suit是一款以電池供電的外骨骼機械，可以幫助搬運重物。

“This project is not only about exhibiting the robots, but also showcasing their practical real-life deployment in helping people,” Hirohisa Hirukawa, leader of the project said.
2020東奧機器人計畫負責人比留川博久說：「這個計畫不僅是要展出機器人，更要讓大家看到機器人在實際生活上幫助人們。」

The Tokyo 2020 Vice Director General Masaaki Komiya also pointed out that they’re hoping to change the public’s perception of robots by showing people how robots are actually useful and can be integrated into our daily lives.
東京奧委副主任小宮正一也指出，他們的目的是要讓大家知道，機器人可以很實用，可以成為日常生活的一部分。
