The Yunshui River hot spring (澐水溪溫泉) in Chiayi officially opened for service on July 29th after being closed for 5 years due to damages caused by the Morakot typhoon.
因莫拉克風災關閉5年後,嘉義縣澐水溪溫泉在7月29日正式開始營運。

The Yunshui River hot spring was discovered by CPC Corporation unintentionally when the company was drilling oil wells in the area.
澐水溪溫泉原為台灣中國石油公司探鑿油井時意外發現。

In 2006, the place was taken over by the Siraya National Scenic Area Administration of the Tourism Bureau.

The Yunshui River hot spring originates from the same source as Tainan’s Liuzhong River and Guanziling hot spring, which is an alkaline hot spring and said to be good for the human skin.
澐水溪溫泉與台南市六重溪、關子嶺溫泉同源,為弱鹼性泉,據說對皮膚很好。

With an outdoor hot spring area, individual hot spring baths, a food court, parking lots and 8 outdoor pools for foot baths, it’s expected that the Yunshui River hot spring will boost tourism in the mountainous area of the county.
目前園區有露天泡湯區、個人湯池、餐飲服務區、停車場及8座泡腳池,期望能促進嘉義縣該山區的觀光。
