The Climate Tipping Point Film Festival will be held on March 10, and will raise awareness about the future of the planet using powerful images. The festival will explore ongoing climate disasters, climate action, energy issues, the environmental costs of development and other themes.
以探討氣候變遷為主題的「氣候臨界影展」即將於3月10日登場，透過影像的力量喚起大眾一同關注地球的未來，以全球各地正在進行式中的氣候災難、氣候行動、能源爭議、開發代價等題材為主，

It will showcase 16 documentaries from Italy, France, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tanzania, Cambodia, Puerto Rico, England, the US, Australia and other countries from March 10-19 at SPOT-Huashan Cinema. Over these nine days, audiences are welcome to get their tickets on-site and watch these films free of charge.
邀請十六部來自義大利、法國、瑞士、台灣、坦尚尼亞、柬埔寨、波多黎各、英國、美國和澳洲等國的紀錄片，3月10日到3月19日在光點華山電影館為期九天免費放映，歡迎觀眾現場索票觀賞。

Climate Tipping Point Film Festival is an independent film exhibition held by the Green Citizens’ Action Alliance.
「氣候臨界影展」（Climate Tipping Point Film Festival），是由環境組織「綠色公民行動聯盟」舉辦的獨立影展，
“Tipping Point” refers to the breaching of a threshold, the transitioning from a known state to an unknown one. It describes an action similar to treading on a tightrope, from which one may fall to their doom at any moment and where the next step may very well set off an irreversible chain effect.
「臨界」是一種瀕臨極限、從已知到未知的狀態，如同走在鋼索上，隨時可能邁向失控與崩毀，再跨一步，不可逆的連鎖效應將隨之而來。

The climate tipping point may be environmental, economic, or cultural. The impact of global warming is transgenerational, transnational, and transcends any man-made or geographical boundaries, bringing changes of unseen scale and nature.
氣候的臨界狀態，也是生態的、經濟的、人類文明的臨界狀態。全球升溫的衝擊，正超越世代、跨越國境，穿透一切人為疆域、地景界線，鋪天蓋地帶來前所未見的改變。

The Green Citizens’ Action Alliance previously organized the No Nukes Film Festival, which was the first nuclear-themed film exhibition in Asia.
策展團隊綠色公民行動聯盟表示，過去曾舉辦四屆「核電影」影展，首創亞洲第一個以「核」為題的影展，
Entering the festival’s tenth year, the organization has switched to focusing on climate change and introduced the Climate Tipping Point Film Festival. The alliance also plans to stay true to independent film festival tradition and hold the festival biannually in the future, inviting films related to environmental issues all over the world to be played in Taiwan.
在邁入第十周年後，轉型以氣候變遷為主題，推出了首屆「氣候臨界影展」，未來也將會以兩年一次的頻率，從全球各大影展中邀請環境相關主題的電影來台放映，延續獨立影展的精神。

This year’s Festival includes 16 films grouped under five major themes: A Map of Climate Disasters, Climate Action Across Generations, Energy Embroilment, No Nukes, and No Coal.
本屆影展共集結五大單元，十六部影片，分別是「氣候災難地圖」、「世代氣候行動」、「能源出代誌」、「核電影」、「煤電影」單元，
The images in the films depict real-life scenarios and illustrate the life-threatening climate crises all across the globe, such as high temperatures, droughts, floods, hurricanes, wildfire and other extreme weather events that impact the environment and human habitats.
以跨越全球為尺度的真實影像，呈現在生存邊緣的氣候危機，如高溫、乾旱、洪水、颶風、野火等極端天氣事件，帶來的生態與人類生活環境的影響，

Humans have worsened these problems by aggressive land development, mining and deforestation. These powerful images show how people from different regions, ethnicities, generations, cultures and social statuses have taken action and fought, while suffering and struggling in their battle for life and land.
而人類對於土地、礦產、森林的過度開發讓問題越趨嚴重，全球危機已經是進行式，這些珍貴的影像呈現不同地域、族群、世代、文化背景與階級的人們，如何努力行動、倡議，在各自的傷痛、掙扎與與抵抗之中，如何展現對生命、土地、家園的盼望。

The organizers invite everyone interested in climate change to participate, consider and reflect on the current situation, and act.
