Google, Amazon and Microsoft joined the fight to end world hunger when it was announced that the tech giants would be working together with the World Bank to develop a new famine prevention system that could save millions of lives across the globe.

“If we can better predict when and where future famines will occur, we can save lives by responding earlier and more effectively,” said Microsoft President Brad Smith in a statement.
