Taiwan’s unemployment rate in July picked up 0.04 percentage points to 3.78 percent, reaching a nine-month high, according to the Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics.

The total number of jobless people in July increased by 6,000 to 448,000, and 8000 were first-time job seekers since graduates started hunting for jobs and part-timers made the switch to full-time jobs during this period.
