Taiwan’s National Financial Stabilization Fund announced on January 12 that it will stop intervening in the stock market after 279 days, the longest period in its history.

The fund had invested around NT$12.25 billion ($387 million) from April 9 to December 31, 2025, to stabilize the market after the announcement of U.S. “reciprocal” tariffs.
