Taiwan’s consumer price index (CPI) experienced its smallest increase in nine months—2.35% year-on-year—in November according to the Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics.
根據行政院主計總處,台灣11月的消費者物價指數(CPI)創下9個月以來的最小漲幅,年增率僅2.35%。

The primary causes of the CPI growth during the month included “the increased cost of dining out, meat products, eggs, aquatic products, household use products and entertainment spending.”
11月CPI提高的主因包括「外食費、肉品、蛋、水產品、家庭用品與娛樂費用均有上漲」。

However, these were offset by decreases in the prices of fresh produce, telecommunications, and energy, including fuel.

According to one DGBAS official, the recent stable weather has helped the cause by both allowing for increased local fruit and vegetable production as well as creating a slowdown in the increase of crude oil prices.

With CPI increases slowing, as exhibited by the “average CPI growth of 17 major daily necessities” dropping from nearly 7% in October to 6.53% year-on-year in November, the public has been less concerned with the question of inflation.

Although the New Taiwan dollar is still experiencing depreciation against the US dollar and the import price index has increased from November 2021, the DGBAS expects that moves by major world economies to tighten monetary policies along with the falling prices of raw materials will keep inflation in Taiwan from surging further.
儘管新台幣兌美元的匯率正在貶值,且進口物價指數相較於2021年11月也提高了,但主計總處預期,全球主要經濟體實施緊縮貨幣政策,加上原物料價格下跌,將可避免通膨率進一步飆升。
