Taiwan’s Ministry of Labor has raised the possibility of further increases to the nation’s current minimum wage next year, with sources quoting a potential 5% rise to reach up to NT$175 hourly.

The information comes in the wake of the latest 5.21% increase on January 1, 2022 – the highest in 15 years – with the minimum wage currently standing at NT$168 per hour or NT$25,250 per month.
