提升台灣能源自主
Taiwan’s largest solar power station has been officially launched in Changhua County, according to the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA).
經濟部指出，全台最大規模的太陽能電廠已正式動工。

The power plant will generate up to 436 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) every year and is expected to help reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 230,000 tonnes each year, the MOEA said in a statement.

Three local companies — Chenya Energy Co, Yeheng Energy and a major subsidiary of Taiwan Solar Energy Corp — have together invested NT$16.3 billion to build the facility.

The facility is part of the government’s two-year plan to boost the nation’s solar capacity to 1.52 gigawatts, the MOEA said.
