A female laboratory worker at Taiwan’s Academia Sinica is said to have caught the delta variant after being bitten by an infected mouse.

Sheng Cheng-nan, a doctor at the Tsaotun Psychiatric Center, argued that COVID-19 is rarely transmissible through blood transfusion, so the worker is unlikely to have caught the virus because of a mouse bite.
