Caroline and Robert are a couple. They are planning a weekend trip in Taiwan.

Caroline: I’m really looking forward to our trip, but hotel prices are so high all over the island now.

Robert: I know! I read that prices now are higher than they were last year, especially on weekends when demand is higher.

Caroline: Yeah, I saw that on my hotel app. Why are prices so high now?

Robert: Hotel operators say that increasing demand for rooms as well as the rising costs of paying employees, buying supplies and paying for electricity are the main reasons.

Caroline: Ah. That makes sense. Everything has been getting more expensive recently.

Robert: Exactly. If we want to save money, we could change our trip from the weekend to some weekdays. Then we might be able to save 30 to 50% on our hotel costs.
羅伯特：確實如此。如果我們想省點錢，我們可以將旅行日期改為平日。這樣我們或許能在飯店費用上節省30%到50%。

Caroline: Oh! Let’s do that. You have vacation days, right?

Robert: Yep! I do have some vacation days. I’ll look at when I can take off work, then we can find a hotel — and save some money for another trip!
