Chelsea and James are university students. They are talking about some changes made to Taiwan’s electronic signature law.

Chelsea: James, you’re taking a class in digital law now, right?

Chelsea: Well, it was updated to make both electronic signatures and signatures on paper equal under the law. Additionally, almost all government agencies will have to start accepting both kinds of signatures.
雀爾喜：嗯，法律已修改為電子簽章和紙本簽章同具法律效力。此外，幾乎所有政府機關都必須開始接受這兩種類型的簽章。

James: So not all agencies had to follow these rules in the past?

Chelsea: Right, but most of them will have to start within a year of the changes going into effect.
