Taiwanese people living abroad for more than six months must start paying their National Health Insurance fees starting on Dec. 23.
從12月23日起，在海外居住超過六個月的台灣人必須開始繳納國民健康保險費用。

The NHIA’s Director-General, Shih Chung-liang, announced this change on Nov. 22.

Under the current rules, citizens leaving the country for over six months can apply to stop paying NHI fees while they are away.
根據現行規定，國人出國超過六個月可以申請停繳健保費。
