The Central Epidemic Command Center has confirmed that the global vaccine-sharing initiative Covax will distribute nearly 200,000 Covid-19 vaccine doses to Taiwan during its first round of distribution.

Health and Welfare Minister Chen Shih-chung said at a press briefing that screening on inbound travelers may be carried out once immunization coverage reaches 60 percent and the Covid-19 restrictions may also be loosened.
