Taiwan’s minimum monthly salary will be raised to NT$23,800 starting on January 1st, 2020, the Ministry of Labor announced on Thursday.

The announcement came after a MOL committee decided to increase the country’s minimum monthly salary by three percent from NT$23,100 to NT$23,800.

A decision was also made to bump up the minimum hourly wage to NT$158 to reflect a five percent hike from the previous $NT150.
