Taiwan’s Executive Yuan announced on February 8 that the government has decided to relax a ban on Japanese food imports.
台灣行政院二月八日宣布，政府決定解除對日本進口食品的禁令。

The ban was introduced in 2011 as a food safety measure after a massive earthquake and a tsunami triggered a meltdown at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant.
該禁令於2011年實施，當時福島發生大地震和海嘯，引發第一核電廠發生核熔毀，政府於是針對福島出產食品實施限制。

That means food imports from Fukushima to Taiwan must have proof of radiation testing and origin.

Restrictions will remain on certain food items that carry a greater risk of nuclear radiation, such as mushrooms and the meat of wild animals.

Taiwan’s chief trade negotiator John Deng said that the lifting of the import ban sends a clear message to the world that Taiwan is willing to follow international standards in order to participate in economic and trade cooperation.
台灣經貿總談判代表鄧振中說解禁向全世界傳達清楚的訊息，說明台灣願意遵守國際標準，以參與經濟和貿易的合作。
