Center Director Dachrahn Wu said that the US-China trade war has reduced stock profits, adding that the upcoming pension reform is also likely to undermine confidence in July.

“Despite a drop across all sub-indexes in June, consumer confidence is still higher than it was for the same period last year,” said Wu.

But Wu said that Taiwan is not as affected as is China. Sub-index in investing in the stock market sat at 97.40 in June, still higher than the 75.00 average score for the past twenty years.
