This year, Taipei has been ranked fourth out of 118 cities, and it is considered the second smartest city in Asia.

Basic sanitation and recycling services are highly rated, showing that the residents in the city are satisfied with the current systems.

However, Taipei did not seem to do well in several aspects, such as air quality, traffic congestion and housing cost, because the city received low scores in these indicators.

Among cities in the rankings, Singapore takes the top spot for the third year in a row.
