Chiang Wan-an, the mayor of Taipei, announced on March 25 that he had canceled a network contract signed in 2017 between the city and Taiwan Intelligent Fiber Optic Network Consortium, or Taifo.
台北市市長蔣萬安於3月25日宣布，已經取消市政府與台灣智慧光網（台智光）在2017年簽訂的網路合約。
CNA English News has reported that this decision likely resulted from the company coming under fire for illegal behavior and Chiang’s government being criticized for paying very high Taifo service fees.
根據《中央社英文新聞》報導，此決定可能是由於該公司因涉嫌非法行為而受到抨擊，以及蔣市府因為支付極高的服務費而受到批評。

According to Taiwan News, the company’s chief, Lee Ching-huang, has been accused of paying Chen up to NT$10 million to help Taifo earn more money from its contract with the city.
