According to a new study from the University of Bergen in Norway, you could live more than a decade longer by increasing your intake of plant-based foods.

There are three key findings from the study. First, life expectancy is increased by eating more legumes, whole grains, and nuts, and cutting down on red meat and processed meat.

These findings come as no surprise to nutrition experts like Kristin Kirkpatrick, a nutritionist and the author of “Skinny Liver,” and Dr. Danine Fruge, the medical director at the Pritikin Longevity Center.
