We are writing to inform you that starting January 12 we will not be offering fresh strawberries from Japan at any of our Fresh Mart locations for at least a month.

This is due to the fact that the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration recently banned imports of strawberries from five Japanese suppliers — one of which we regularly use — from January 12 until February 11.
原因是台灣食品藥物管理署最近宣布，從1月12日至2月11日期間，禁止進口來自五家日本供應商的草莓，其中一家是我們經常使用的供應商。

It has been reported that since November 2023, 10 shipments of strawberries from these five suppliers did not meet pesticide standards during border checks.
