Singapore has announced that it will start allowing residents and international visitors to exit the country without showing their passports starting next year.
新加坡宣布明年起將開放國民與國際旅客無須出示護照即可出境。

These changes created by the country’s Immigration and Checkpoints Authority will only affect passengers departing Singapore via the Tuas and Woodlands land checkpoints.

Under the new Automated Passenger In-Car Clearance System, travelers in cars will be able to pass through the checkpoints using a QR code.

The QR codes will be generated by the MyICA mobile app, and can be scanned at the ICA counters.
