The Nobel Prize for Literature will be canceled for 2018, following a sex scandal at the Swedish Academy, which is responsible for handing out the prize.

The crisis follows allegations that Jean-Claude Arnault, a French photographer married to Academy member Katarina Frostenson, sexually harassed and assaulted 18 women between 2013 and 2018. He is also accused of leaking the names of Nobel Prize winners ahead of their formal announcements.
