South Korea’s National Samsung Electronics Union has called for its first-ever workers’ strike.

The union, which represents more than one-fifth of Samsung Electronic Co.’s workforce, has asked its 28,000 members to take paid leave on June 7 in order to “fight for workers’ rights and interests.”
