German automotive firm Continental presented a revolutionary delivery system at the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, one that plans to have robot dogs hop in and out of driverless delivery vans, ferrying packages straight up to the recipient’s door.

The robot dogs, carrying goods to be delivered, were first loaded into the driverless van.

Continental believes the concept system could provide a solution to the last-mile problem in logistics — it is easy to have a package delivered at the curb in front of the recipient’s house, but to have it delivered to the doorstep is extremely difficult.
