Kin Moy, outgoing director of the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), said that he will always be an advocate of strong US-Taiwan relations even after leaving his post.
即將卸任的美國在台協會（AIT）處長梅健華表示，卸任後，他會一直是美台關係的擁護者。

Speaking at his farewell news conference in Taipei last Friday, Moy said he would return to the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs at the US Department of State, where he would await his next assignment.

Although his future role may not be directly related to Taiwan affairs, the outgoing director said he would continue to cheer for Taiwan from the sidelines. “Wherever I am, I will always be the biggest fan of US-Taiwan relations,” he said.

Having served as the director of the de-facto US embassy in Taiwan for three years, Moy will hand over his position to former AIT deputy director William Brent Christensen.

He described the director-elect as a real expert on Taiwanese affairs. “Christensen has a calm presence and is unafraid to go forward in times of difficulties or tensions,” said Moy.
梅健華形容他為「台灣事務的專家」，也指出酈英傑是個非常冷靜的人，在面對困難或是緊張情勢也無所畏懼。

At the end of the news conference, Moy thanked the Taiwanese government for conferring on him the Order of the Brilliant Star with a Grand Cordon in recognition of his contributions to Taiwan-US relations.
