International mobile network evaluator Opensignal recently published its “Taiwan 5G User Experience Report,” which tested the top four Taiwanese 5G telecom operators.

Findings of the report showed that Chunghwa Telecom dominated both the “5G download speed” and “5G upload speed” categories, which are valued most by consumers.

Despite these wins for Chunghwa Telecom, Opensignal’s “Excellent Quality Consistency” award was presented to Taiwan Mobile.

Beating out the competitors, including Chunghwa Telecom, Far EasTone and Taiwan Star, Taiwan Mobile was rated the highest by its users for its excellence in terms of audiovisual, gaming and browsing experiences—proving that simply being the fastest and offering the most 5G connectivity does not necessarily make a carrier the best in the market.
