OPEC’s leader Saudi Arabia and Russia have ruled out any immediate increase in crude output, effectively pushing back against the US president’s call for action to cool the market.

On Sunday, OPEC announced at a meeting in Algiers that they would not increase production to meet White House demands, adding that the current output already met global requirements.
