The New York Stock Exchange reversed course again on January 6, saying it would delist three major Chinese telecom companies less than two days after it halted the plan.
紐約證券交易所1月6日又改弦更張,宣佈中國三大電信公司將下市,離先前這項計畫暫停還不到兩天的時間。

The NYSE originally announced on January 1 it would delist China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom to comply with a White House executive order. It then reversed that decision on January 4 and said it would no longer delist the telecoms.

Now, in a second flip, the NYSE moved forward to delist the companies. The second about-face comes after the US Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin reportedly called NYSE President Stacey Cunningham to object to the exchange’s earlier reversal.

The exchange said the latest reversal was due to new guidance from the Department of Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control, indicating that people in the U.S. could not engage in certain transactions with the three companies.
