Taiwanese media celebrity Lucifer Chu was sentenced to 14 months in prison by the Taipei District Court on Friday, March 29 for the crime of sexual assault against city councilor Chung Pei-chun.

According to ICRT News, the court’s decision said that Chu deserved a severe punishment because he not only caused psychological harm to his victim but showed no regret for his behavior.

In June 2023, Chung first spoke in public about Chu touching and kissing her against her wishes at a Taipei restaurant on August 6, 2022.
