Despite the unveiling of Korean innovation leader LG Display’s transparent OLED (organic light-emitting diode) concepts in mid-2022, the commercial launch of the company’s cutting-edge 55-inch TV that uses this technology may be delayed until 2024.

LG Display’s “A city inspired by OLED,” which was exhibited in August at K-Display 2022 in Seoul, Korea, contained an entire zone called “Transparent OLED Town” dedicated to business-related uses of its transparent OLED solutions.

Combined with LG Display’s announcement in February 2022 that it would be developing a 55-inch transparent OLED TV for LG Electronics’ Home Entertainment Company, it seemed that the TV would be available as early as 2023.
