Japanese convenience store franchise FamilyMart has partnered up with Taiwan-based Ting Hsin International to reach the rapidly developing Mainland Chinese market. However, it’s been reported that the two companies have been unable to resolve a dispute over royalty fees.

According to sources, FamilyMart has accused Ting Hsin of not receiving its fair share for profits earned from its business in China, while Ting Hsin has claimed that the royalty fees charged by FamilyMart are three times higher than the average of those charged by rivals such as 7-Eleven.
