Taiwan’s Sexual Harassment Prevention Act is a law that defines what sexual harassment is, the rights of victims of harassment and the punishments for those who harass others.
台灣的性騷擾防治法是規範性騷擾定義、受害者的權利以及針對騷擾行為的懲罰的法律。

According to the law, sexual harassment is any “sexual or gender-related behavior” that goes against the wishes of another person.
根據這項法律，性騷擾是指任何違背他人意願的「性或性別相關行為」。

These behaviors can be anything that affects someone else’s right to an education, work, or their normal habits.

In addition to unwanted touching or kissing, sending sexual pictures, messages and texts that are unwanted are also considered harassment.

Victims of sexual harassment can make an official complaint within a year after being harassed.
受到性騷擾的受害者可以在遭受騷擾後的一年內提出正式投訴。

Complaints can be reported to the organization for which the offender works.

If the place of employment is not known, it can be reported to the local authorities where the offender lives.
若不知道其工作場所，可以向騷擾者所在地的當地當局報案。

After an investigation, those found guilty of sexual harassment may be fined between NT$10,000 and NT$300,000 depending on the behavior.
經過調查後，被判定有罪的性騷擾者視其行為嚴重性，可能面臨新台幣一萬至三十萬元的罰款。

Additionally, harassment by unwanted touching may result in jail time.

Any behavior which is more serious may be defined as sexual assault.

This would fall under the country’s Criminal Code and would likely result in jail time for the offender.
