Taiwan’s Ministry of Labor announced on Dec. 25 that the minimum wage would increase in 2025.

Hourly wages have risen to NT$190, and the minimum monthly salary has increased to NT$28,590.
時薪將提高至新台幣190元，最低月薪則調整為新台幣28,590元。

The MOL said around 2.57 million workers across the country have benefited from these changes.

Data shows that the hourly minimum wage has increased by 58.3% and the monthly salary by 42.9% since 2016.

One was an increase in training funds for certain workers from NT$70,000 to NT$100,000 every three years.

The MOL also said it would announce other changes early in 2025 to offer better protection to migrant workers who are pregnant or have small children.
