Gogoro made its debut on the Nasdaq stock exchange in New York on April 5, becoming the first Taiwanese unicorn start-up to go public in the US.

The Taiwanese electric scooter and battery exchange provider completed its initial public offering via a merger with special purpose acquisition company Poema Global Holdings Corporation in a deal that set its enterprise value at US$2.35 billion.

Gogoro expects to raise at least $335 million through the merger, and the money will be used to expand its markets in China, India and Indonesia.
