South Korean ex-president Lee Myung-bak was arrested Thursday over a series of corruption allegations, becoming the last of the country’s four living ex-leaders to be embroiled in bribery scandals after leaving office.

“Right now, I feel it’s my entire fault and rather than blaming others, I am the one with the guilty conscience,” Lee said in a written statement issued shortly before his arrest.
