Taiwan’s Former President Tsai Ing-wen embarked on an eight-day tour of Europe on Saturday, Oct. 12.

Tsai’s first stop was the city of Prague, where she attended the Forum 2000 conference, held from October 13 to 15 and titled “Proving Democracy’s Resolve and Resilience.”

The former Taiwanese president delivered a speech on Taiwan’s democracy at the event and joined other “leaders, intellectuals, and experts” speaking at the conference, including Petr Pavel, the President of the Czech Republic.

Another highlight of the tour is Brussels, where Tsai visited the European Parliament to “meet new members of the assembly.”
