Facebook Inc. is testing a tool that allows news publishers to sell subscriptions through the social media giant’s Instant Articles platform.

Facebook says they will be comparing two different models: a “metered” version, which allows for 10 free articles before a subscription is needed to see more content, and a “freemium” version, where publishers can dictate which articles are free while putting paywalls around certain articles.
